Preston Stories

Since I don't have any baby news yet, I will share some fun stuff about Preston instead. He is such a character. Life is never dull with him around.

I only end up bringing my scriptures to church every other week, when it's my turn to teach our primary class. The other weeks, I just follow along in the scriptures app on my ipod. So I didn't have my scriptures this past Sunday. But as we were leaving the building, Preston saw a scripture case just like mine on a shelf above the coat rack and started reaching for them. We told him they weren't ours, that mommy's scriptures were at home. Well, this either was not good enough for him or he didn't believe us because he started crying for them. "Scripures!" (Yes, there is no T in the word when he says it.) We had to haul him out of the building and to the car crying, poor kid. He got even more upset when we started going home, even though we told him we would get our scriptures at home. He just screamed "scripures! Scripures!" over and over. Tears and snot everywhere. So pretty.

We finally get home and I tell Bradley to run right in the house and get my scriptures from my nightstand. Preston grabs on to those things for dear life. Okay, all is well, right? No! He didn't want to get out of the car! Preston wanted to take our scriptures back to church! He yelled "Go for ride a car! Go church!" Oh my goodness. I felt bad telling him no, we are not going back to church just so you can have your scriptures with you at church. He was so upset!

It took a good half hour or more of him sitting with me cuddling to calm him down. Poor kid. He is really passionate about scriptures! I guess that's a good thing, right?

There was something else that I wanted to blog about because it was funny but for the life of me, I can't remember now what it was. So if I remember, I will update this post. Sorry, preggo brain strikes again.

In the mean time, pray this baby comes in the next few days, before my parents go out of town. I know there are plenty of people that would be willing to help us out and watch Preston while we are at the hospital but I know he would be so much happier with his grandma and grandpa. That is my biggest stress right now. I want my little boy to be okay! And so I want this little girl to get here! :)
