Family
I really love family. Both of our families. I love that so many of them are so close. We get to see them all on a regular basis and I know we are super blessed. It's awesome.
We just had a bunch of family over to our house for a Sunday dinner. Now, Sunday dinner is not that rare of a thing. We go to my parents' house pretty much every Sunday for lunch and we go to Nampa for a Kindall family dinner once or twice a month. But it's rare that we have every one come to our place. So it makes it feel different for me. Special. I had a great time.
I really love the Kindall family. I love how everyone comes to eat but stays to talk and talk and talk. My dad mentioned that last year, when we did something similar. He loved how everyone just stuck around and chatted and talked and stayed forever. There's no such thing as an eat and run for a Kindall dinner. The kids play and make messes and keep coming back for more dessert and the parents talk and laugh and try to run interference with the kids. It's just a good time, all around.
We also had a couple friends come, too. It was fun to get to know Bradley's friend Sharlee and her husband. They seem super fun and I would love to get together with them again.
The kids made me smile this time, too. Anyone who knows my brother Allen knows that he loves silly things and loves to laugh. The kids figured this out in no time and spent a couple hours falling down just to make him laugh. He had a great time. I want to give all those sweet kids hugs, thanking them for making his day.
I also loved the chance to mix our two families. They don't get to see each other very often so it's fun when we can get everyone together. I love both of my families!
Sorry, no pictures. We were too busy having a fun time. Maybe next time!
