Food!
My awesome husband posted this on his blog and it looked like fun and an easy way to get myself back into blogging a bit. So here goes! A questionnaire on food!
1. If I could choose my last meal, what would it be?
Oh gosh. I'm pretty sure it would be at Texas Roadhouse. I love that place. I would get bunches of those warm rolls with a TON of the cinnamon butter. Love that stuff! I would get a big Caesar salad. Mmm. They make a good salad. And then my medium rare Rib eye steak with a bunch of sauteed mushrooms on top. And probably some steak fries on the side. Because why not? The wonderful thing is, I DO get to have that meal on occasion. It's great!
2. My favorite person to share a meal with?
I have to answer basically the same as my husband - duh, my husband! Although it is fun to have Preston there, too. He is super cute.
3. The best meal I have eve had?
Hmm. I think the happiest I ever was to eat was... gosh. That's a hard question! I'm sure it had something to do with a restaurant, though. Being able to go somewhere and order something and not have to cook or clean up always makes a meal better. Right? I think the neatest meal experience I ever had was on a double date of sorts at The Gamekeeper. I ordered a Caesar salad and they came out with this cart and made it right there in front of me, starting with the anchovies! It was pretty cool. And they wrapped up our leftovers in foil shaped like a swan. Fun.
4. The one food that makes me feel instantly better when I having a bad day?
Oh gosh. Sometimes it's chocolate. But I think I would have go to with Crab Lagoons (crab rangoon) from Great Wall. It's my comfort food.
5. My absolute specialty in the kitchen?
Well, I make a pretty mean lasagna. But I think I have to go with chocolate chip cookies. I have a yummy recipe that I love and pretty much always turns out nice and fluffy and soft.
6. The city that has the best food is...
Well, since I have not traveled a lot, or eaten a ton when traveling, my answer will be pretty lame. I'm sure there are cities out there that have amazing food. But I have been happiest when eating in my home town. Sigh. I need to get out more!
7. My favorite healthy snack?
Uh, I don't understand the question...
Just kidding! I love strawberries but I ruin the health part by putting cream and sugar on them. I guess I would have to go with wheat thins. Or something. Next time I eat a healthy snack, I'll let you know.
8. If I could learn to cook anything in the world (and be really good at it) I would choose...
Italian food. Yummy pasta and rich sauces.
9. The most outrageous dessert I've ever had was?
I was in eighth or ninth grade french class and we had a french dinner at a hotel restaurant. The dessert was an ice cream of sorts but had a liquor that they set on fire for us. How exciting! I don't remember if it was particularly yummy but it sure was fun at the time!
Okay that was fun. I will have to find more of those kind of quizzes to get me back into the groove. Feel free to post your own answers!
