Fourth of July 2011

Our Fourth of July was a little different this year. We have been going to Melba for the fireworks for a few years now and really like it. But this year, no one felt like going. (Our little family had gone to a BBQ at Kathryn's parents house and then we went and hung out at Sherrie's house with the rest of the Kindall clan.)  It was just too much work, too much traffic to fight to get home, just bleh. So we went to some soccer fields near the speedway in Meridian and watched those fireworks. It was fun. Very low key, not too many people. The only bummer was that the sprinklers were on so we ended up sitting in the parking lot. But oh well. All the cousins had a good time together.

Preston liked the fireworks this year. I think being farther away really helped. He jumped up and down all excited. Hannah sat with Daddy and just stared at them, mesmerized. Very cute. And we were home within about ten minutes! Yay!

Maybe next year we will do some little fireworks at home. Preston has yet to do sparklers or anything. I think he might like them.
