Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year. I had big plans to have us dress up as a family but we got a little lazy. I was going to do a Toy Story theme for all of us. Years ago I bought a Bullseye costume and Preston fit it this year so he was Woody, riding Bullseye. So cute! And I was going to put Hannah in the monster costume Preston wore when he was that age and pass her off as an alien from pizza planet. I was going to be Jessie and Bradley would be Buzz. Preston was so excited, every time he saw any of the characters, he would list off who we were all going to be. 

Well, it turned out, he was Woody on Bullseye and I was (mostly) Jessie but the other two were not Toy Story. Bradley said he would rather not dress up and I remembered that I had a cute Snow White dress that fit Hannah. So she got to be a cute princess instead.
Our ward has a Harvest Party every year and it was a lot of fun. We have potluck soups and it is a big turnout. The kids dress up and play some carnival games and then we do a Trunk or Treat. It was fun to watch the kids run around all dressed up. I ended up making myself some cow print chaps and went as Jessie. It was fun. We did the same thing the next night with family in Nampa so Preston got a bunch of candy. Too bad he won't get to eat it all!
On Halloween night we went and saw some friends and then came home and passed out candy. Pretty low key. But it was nice to just relax. I am all for trunk or treats on another night so we can relax on the actual day of Halloween. Next year I am sure we will take Preston out trick or treating so this was probably my last relaxing year but that's okay. It will be fun, too!

BTW, I had this typed up yesterday but blogger was being strange and I had to go run after kids. So it should have been posted yesterday!
