Pretty, huh?

 

Isn't it pretty? This chandelier is very much like the one in the celestial room at the Boise Temple. And I got to spend three days last week helping to clean it. Wow! It was a great experience. 

My friend Tangi works there and told me that she would be cleaning it and asked if I would like to come help. Would I!?!? So I dropped off Preston with Grandma and Grandpa for three mornings last week and went to the temple during winter shut down. They sure work hard! There were people all over, cleaning everything you can think of. But I got to spend the whole time in the celestial room. Ah. So nice. 

That chandelier is amazing. It is a good four feet in diameter and at least as tall, if not taller, than me. It has 77 light bulbs in it and get this - 9,997 crystals! Another WOW! And we took each one off, cleaned it, and put it back on. All in all, it took a full week to do. My back hurt at times and my legs, from standing so long, but it was so worth it. It just glows now! 

So next time you go to the temple (if you are local) be sure to look up. See that beautiful light fixture up there? I helped make it even more beautiful than it was. And I loved every minute of it.
