Breakthrough?
Boy, I hope so! I was just commiserating on my favorite message board with some other moms about how Preston doesn't like baby cereal. I have tried mixing in a couple baby foods and he has not liked that, either. But today was different.
I tried giving Preston the baby food (beans and carrots) by themselves, no rice cereal. He ate them! No fighting! Opened his mouth! Yay! So I guess he just doesn't like the rice cereal. (I don't blame him, it's kinda gross.) And then I gave him his sippy cup. It has a really soft spout and is easy to get water out of but in the past, when he got a mouthful of water, he made a face and spit it out. Today he swallowed it! Yay again! So I hope this is the begining of better eating. If I can just get him to take a bottle again so I can leave him with grandma for a couple hours, I would be so happy!
Just had to share!

Nice work!
Have you tried the milk in the sippy cup if he won't take a bottle?
I wish we lived in your hood and I could babysit.
I have tried the milk but not recently. I will have to do that again.
I wish you were here, too! I have fond memories of hanging out with you when Sam was this age. All that window shopping! Those were great times!
Yes, the bottle means freedom. I wish you luck. He's growing so fast.
