New Things!
So did you hear the news? We moved. Into a house! Yay!
I became a packing machine and our little apartment was soon filled with boxes. I tried really hard to be organized and that is why you see letters on all the boxes - told me what room to put them in. Smart? I think so. There were a ton more boxes than just these, the kitchen was full, there were bunches in the bedrooms and another wall in the living room. But this is not all about packing. It's about moving!
So moving day...
Yup, moving day was the day it snowed. April 28th. My birthday. What a present! I was all sorts of stressed out, trying to get everything packed so we could move when Bradley got home from work. The day he rode his scooter to work. The day it rained sooo hard and hailed and I thought it would never stop! But it did. We lived.
We picked a great day to move. Crazy weather, week day, the next door neighbor at our new house was having a baby shower so the street was filled with cars. Lots of fun. But we made it. We had lots of help from Bradley's family and my dad and it only took two trips.
Want to see the house?
Do ya?
Well here it is!!!
It's a four bedroom two bath house on a quarter of an acre. It's on a corner so the front yard is the size of a Honda and the backyard is nice and big.
Preston loves the backyard and I love having a place he can run around in and I don't have to worry about him getting run over. There is a large patio that we someday hope to cover some of. I hope to make use of the garden area next year, too. It's just not going to happen this year.
The bedrooms are not huge but they are big enough. Bradley is excited to have a garage to play in and I am excited to use the smallest bedroom as a craft room. I can't wait to get started on a project! I hope to be a lot better about blogging, too.
A few more pictures of the house, in various stages of moving and unpacking.
Living room. There are plant shelves and vaulted ceilings. It will be fun to decorate.

Kitchen. Not huge but I have a little pantry now so that helps!
Master bedroom. Two closets! Yay!
Another box wall, this one of empty boxes!
Anyway. There will be more pictures from in and out of the house to come. But I wanted to get this done so you could see something, at least.
I hope everyone is doing well!

well look at you!! Awesome idea with the letters on the boxes. I am SO DOING THAT! Right now the words are there...master, kitchen, bath, etc etc..but with a quick glance the letters would be SO MUCH EASIER! You rock sistah! Love the house! Very nice. Now you need a little portable island in that kitchen for a prep table. The layout is awesome and functional! WOOOHOO!! Wish I lived closer so I could see it in person. hugs to you!
Congrats! I had heard through the grape-vine that you moving into a home of your own. I love the yard! We love having a place for the kids to just wander around too...
Congrats! It's sooo cute! Can't wait to see how your fun decorating progresses =] Enjoy the space!!
Congratulations! That is a nice house, and I love your backyard space!
It's nice to have a special box just for your Milky Way Bars.
Melissa, you stinker! It wasn't a box of candy bars! It was purses! We actually got that on a trip to costco, you know, how they stuff your things into random boxes? So there. Stinker.
