On A Personal Note...

So I think I need to update you on what is going on with my life. Things are changing. I had told you a couple months ago that Preston and I have moved in with my parents. We are still here. I moved out because Bradley was being a poop. But he has since realized that he was being a real dummy. We have been going to counseling for over a month and have made a lot of progress. At first, I was not sure I even wanted Bradley to change his mind. I was pretty hurt. But I can see now that he is sincere and that it would be best for all of us if we can figure out our problems and differences and make this marriage work. So we are trying.

It's interesting how a person changes over time. How trials and challenges in life help a person to change. Each time I have been faced with a big trial I can see how I have become stronger because of it. I have gotten to know myself a little better. I learn to trust myself more. And I learn to trust the Lord more. It's nice when I can do both of those at the same time. It means I am doing what the Lord wants me to do.

It's also been nice to see how Bradley has changed. He is becoming more of the man I married, not the guy who treated me poorly. He wants to do whatever it takes to make me happy and to help us have a good marriage. I love to see him interact with Preston. He has such a good time playing with him. I know that if I give him the opportunity, Bradley will be a good dad.

Speaking of Preston, man! What a kid! The beginning of this week he started taking steps on his own, walking from me to someone else and back. It's very exciting! But scary, too. I didn't think I would have an early walker. But Preston is a very determined little boy. Already he will be walking along the perimeter of a room and just let go of whatever he was holding on to and walk to something else. And he can pretty easily walk about 10 feet or more without falling. He can even change direction when he wants to. Pretty impressive.

We just hung up a swing in the back yard for Preston. He has been on swings at the park and his cousins' houses and loved them so we got one here. I have to make sure to let him swing long enough or he pitches a real fit when I go to take him out. Again, determined little boy. He wants what he wants, that is for sure. I guess I can't blame him. He just voices his opinion the best way he knows how, right?

Anyway. Enough of my wanderings. But I felt the need to get this all out. So there ya go. :)

BTW...tell Preston to sit his butt down and stop walking cuz that means Vincente is not far behind and I am not ready for that yet. You'll pass along that message to him, right??? :)
